Although the sign is not visible in this old photo the boatlike structure was originally a restaurant in the 1920s era.
Most of us that are still around remember it as the residence of the Jackson's who had a fish market next door. "The Plunge"
can be seen in the right side of the photograph. It was an indoor salt water swimming pool. Whether it was operating when
this photo was taken is doubtful. The Ship was located about where the present Chess Board is. The Plunge was located
in front of the Log Cabins--now The Blue Sail Inn.

When this picture was taken, the main channel was across the bay next to the sandbar. The channel immediately in front of these structures
was too shallow to navigate.
