Scrapbook of Boxing Memorabilia

Here are a few items that may interest avid old time boxing fans.

A ticket stub from the "fight of the century" which took place in Reno, Nevada in 1910. James Jeffries, dubbed the "Great White Hope," lost to Jack Johnson in the fifteenth round. And below is a train ticket used to get the the big event from San Francisco.

This article has some interest primarily because of Sam Langford. Sam was a great fighter and probably was a light heavyweight. He fought Jack Johnson in a non-title bout and won handily. He spent the rest of his career in pursuit of Jack for a title fight.
