Bill fished out of Portland and Newport, Oregon. He came to Morro Bay as a member of Joseph Giannini's crew in 1946. Fishing was good in those days and Bill bought the boat "Doris." The picture on the right is in San Luis Harbor. Bill sold the Doris in the 1960's to Billy Hansen and became a fish buyer for Regal Seafood of Monterey and eventually became a branch manager.
